The Pink Door Show is a bridge between the artist and the people. We are confident that the relationships our artists are able to build in our program will continue to serve participating artists well into the future…

one of many TPDS Artists celebrations…

2026/2027 Program Details

The Pink Door Show is very excited to offer it’s first year long Artist Incubator program to 20 Alberta based visual artists running July 1st, 2026 through June 30th, 2027.

We have taken great care & consideration in designing a program to support the professional development of our community’s professional visual artists for a full year…we are committed to partnering together to create a culture & community where artists can create a sustainable living off of their creative works.

Being a volunteer based grass roots organization, successful Artist Incubator Program applicants are required to commit to 50hours of volunteer service over the 2026/2027 season. Duties can include; social media/marketing, show prep/post show repair, facilities maintenance, data management, book keeping, etc. We have learned that everyone, (especially artists) have a multitude of skills & talents so there is truly a job that for everyone.

Applications for the program open April 3rd, 2026 and close April 24th, 2026.

Callback invitations will be sent out May 15th, 2026.

Program offers will be sent out June 15th, 2026.

  • The 2026/2027 Artist Incubator Roster will participate in three group exhibitions & shows over the 2026-2027 season:

    The Pink Door Foundation Show
    October 22-25 2026

    The Winter Side Door Show
    February 26-28 2027

    The Summer Side Door Show
    June 18-20 2027

  • Through strategic events we introduce TPDS artists’ work to industry professionals like designers, corporate buyers, and media. This exposure opens new opportunities for participants to reach broader audiences.

  • All Artist Incubator Program participants have access to a private TPDS Roster chat where they can connect for WIP feedback & share upcoming artistic opportunities.

Additionally, the TPDS team is exploring group supplier discounts with the hopes of offering them to the 26/27 Program Roster as well.

  • Recognizing that most artists work in solitude, the TPDS Artist Incubator Program creates opportunities for artists to build meaningful connections with each other.

In addition to the collaboration built during Artist Incubator Program volunteer commitments, TPDS arranges artist playdates, post-show gatherings, mentorship, and much more.

  • "From the very beginning, I have always held the philosophy of "follow the love," and The Pink Door is all about the love. The Pink Door has flipped the narrative of traditional galleries and art venues by simply being inclusive, with no agenda beyond showcasing its artists on the walls to the general public. It matters that the Pink Door cares, as simple as that may be, it is a mandate worth embracing. "

Barry Lorne - Visual Artist & Curator

  • "The Pink Door Show has been a tremendous boost to my artistic career and my relationships with other artists. Their inclusive, welcoming atmosphere creates space for everyone, art lovers, seasoned collectors, and those discovering art for the very first time."

Stacey Walyuchow - Mixed Media Artist

  • "TPDS is not only creating a welcoming and supportive community of artists, they are providing the structure I’ve been missing to develop the business side of my work. I feel lucky to be part of it and having more eyes on my work feels amazing."

    Shellie Jones - Fibre Artist

  • "TPDS has been an exceptional supporter and exhibitor of my work. Through their exhibitions, they have cultivated an enthusiastic and engaged audience that eagerly anticipates each new show."

The Guest Curator Program

Through our Guest Curator Program, TPDS partners with artists to realize their unique exhibitions goals, joining forces to mount them for the public. Together, we create welcoming spaces where an artist(s) body of work can be experienced in the way the artist intended.
